Christmas Decorations

November 8, 2009 - Nearly a week after Halloween, we took advantage of the near 60 degree weather to put up our Christmas decorations! It took Chris a little while to get the lights up, but at least he didn't have to go on the roof. We bought this stick at Menard's (a hardware store here in Nebraska) that extends and places these plastic light holders on the gutters, instead of buying a ladder! The frustrating part was when the plastic holders would get stuck. The lights would sometimes fall too, but Chris said it was easier and less time consuming to use instead of a ladder and having to move that around the perimeter of the house!

Chris admiring his work, while the sun is in Kristian's eyes!

Instead of the ever-popular icicle lights, we chose the multi-colored green, white, and red LED lights to string up over the front of the house and garage.

An extra string was placed on a few poles in our walkway flowerbed with the Peanuts gang underneath!

We placed the wire Christmas tree, snowman, and three gift boxes in the bigger flowerbed in front of the kids' window. There are also some candy cane and snowflake signs along with a stop sign for Santa, too!

November 12, 2009 - We added a miniature snowman and penguin to our display! Oh and gel stickers on the kids windows of Charlie Brown and Snoopy!

The tree here actually blocks the display if you stand directly in front of our house!

November 18, 2009 - We love our Christmas decorations!

November 28, 2009 - But we're not done! We added a wreath with some of our Christmas ornaments!

November 29, 2009 - And snowflake gel stickers to our door!

Looking outside...wondering what people think about our decorations!

This is our Christmas tree!
