March 12, 2010 - Those of you that know my husband, also know that he loves cars (and motorcycles, too). So this year after receiving our taxes, of course Chris got to thinking and planning about what kind of car he could get with it. Notice in this picture there is another Mazda parked across the street. That '91 Mazda 323 was his daily driver which he bought last year. He said he would probably keep it forever (it was cheap to buy, easy to maintain, and fun for him to drive), but after talking about how it lacks in safety, he traded it in for the Miata!

Chris' love for sports cars will never die even though in late 2008 he sold his beloved '93 RX7 that was waiting for us the whole time we were in Germany! The maintenance on the RX7 would never end, so he had reluctantly given it up and sold it, but shortly after he bought a MV Agusta! He ended up selling that one too because it didn't feel comfortable to him.
So last Wednesday after dinner, Chris wanted to drive an hour to Lincoln to check out the car. We all went to take a look at it and I thought that since there would be only about 30 minutes to closing, Chris wouldn't be able to bring the car home. Well, I was wrong! The dealership stayed open and gave him a really good deal. I'll be sure to send Chris alone next time he wants to "look" at cars. Maybe that will keep him from bringing one home the same day!
