Kailani and her classmates standing by their pew.
May 1, 2011 - Yesterday, Kailani had her First Communion along with 15 other of my students! They all did wonderful and I was so very proud of them. It started out a really rough morning, since Daddy just finished with his 12-hour night shifts and Kailani's headband broke. We had to rush to Walmart quickly to buy Kailani another headband and were running late to church. But, it was still enough time to do some last minute preparations as well as adjust to new directions given to us by Peggy and Father Jose. Overall, it was a beautiful ceremony!

After having some refreshments in the annex, we took a few quick pictures before we went to a party for one of Kailani's friends. Chris was still so tired and needed more rest, so he ended up staying at home to catch a little more sleep.
