Croatan Beach, Virginia Beach, Virginia
August 2, 2011 - Of course, when we're home we HAVE to hit the beach! It's our favorite thing to do in the summer, even if we're far away from home. We went with my sister, Sarah, and her best friend Kimberly. Thank you Kim for sharing some of your pictures with us!
Croatan is one a few local beaches that is not overrun by tourists.

This was the day I found a sand dollar while I walked with Sarah and Kim alongside the shore. We came across many other interesting shells and sea life during our walk.

This is where our small secluded beach ends and the tourist beach resort begins!
By the time we came back to Chris and the kids, he was wondering where we had gone all that time because he had a hard time getting the kids to listen to him. They were tiring him out!

We're always homesick for the beach during the summer. When we're home, we easily spend hours at the beach. It's always hard to get our kids out of the water and leave. We never want to have to leave either!
