Kailani outside today.
12/13/10 - Ever since the blizzard this weekend gave us about three or more inches of snow, Kailani's been asking to play in it! The weekend was deathly cold especially with the wind chill bringing down the temperatures to the single digits and into subzero temperatures.
Here she is after school today. I told her to change into snow boots, snow gloves, and a waterproof coat. She was in such a rush that we forgot to put her snow pants on! Kristian would have been outside too if he weren't in need of a nap! But then again, maybe not. He's at this phase where he cannot stand to put on his shoes, coat, hat, or gloves. Every day that we have to put those things on, Kristian is kicking and screaming. At 22 months, he can remove his shoes, hat, and gloves as well as unzip his coat!
As for Kai's hives, they have begun to disappear since Saturday afternoon. I don't think they are completely out of her system and we're yet to figure out what triggered this third episode.
Trixie changed her mind about playing outside.
Trixie had been asking to go outside this weekend, too. Despite the severe conditions, the calm squirrels snacking on acorns in our backyard seemed to be taunting her. But once I opened the sliding door to let her follow Kailani, she quickly turned around. Kai wanted to take her into the deeper buried parts of the yard, so I put her out. As soon as Kai put her on the ground and she hit the snow, she made a run for the house!
