It's been quite a while since I last blogged. Since our trip home last September, many things happened as we prepared for our upcoming move. Time never seemed to be on my side and I felt I had too many things to juggle. It still feels like a whirlwind of events that eventually lead us to our new home here in Texas.
We recently celebrated Mother's Day and went to Bonsai Garden for dinner. Chris bought me a bouquet of flowers and made breakfast, while Kailani made me a card, artwork, and a coupon book to use.
The weekend before, we celebrated Kailani's 9th birthday. She had a sleepover and invited some friends from school. Kailani had an itinerary which she tried to follow closely. Kailani and the girls had a great time having non-stop fun.
Kailani and her friends. I jumped into the shot, too!
Kristian was just happy to have other kids around. He was oblivious to his sister opening her gifts.
After some play time and making a craft, Kailani and her friends, Viera and Bianca, had a magic show to present to their audience. They had prepared and practiced their magic show the weekend before. The girls seemed to have a lot of fun doing it and towards the end the audience became a part of it, too.
Kristian loves to sing the "Happy Birthday" song and birthdays puts him in the mood to pretend like it's his birthday. After Kailani's birthday, Kristian asked several times to place candles on the ice cream cake and had us sing Happy Birthday to him, too!
