This is the third gecko we found this past week! Kailani found it behind the blinds in the living room. It fell off the window and onto the ledge behind our storage cases. When Chris went to cover the gecko, the edge of the tail came off! He said it barely touched it. The tail was still twitching while detached from the gecko! Chris thought it was a baby gecko, but most likely it was just a decoy as part of its defense mechanism. It's probably a distraction for a predator to get its tail, while the gecko runs off.
