View from Doc's
Our first taste of fresh seafood from the Gulf was at Snoopy's Pier on Friday night when we arrived in town. It was much better than fast food seafood, but not nearly as good as Doc's Seafood and Steaks, where we had dinner Saturday evening. After swimming at the Natatorium, a year-round swimming pool, we went straight to dinner to beat the crowds. We really enjoyed the food, the open view of the bay, and Bob Marley and Jack Johnson playing in the background. We had really good oysters rockefeller, crab cakes, shrimp, crab stuffed chicken, and warm, toasty fresh-baked bread. Our tummies were happy after leaving the restaurant. There aren't any good restaurants serving fresh seafood in San Angelo.
